Villa Templeberg in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka, South Asia – Villa Templeberg  is what I consider a magical destination.  If you’re looking for a peaceful, tropical and romantic vacation, Templeberg is your #1 option.  We have kept our eyes on Templeberg and we’re very thankful to Brent and Christopher for allowing us to feature their Villa with you, our fans.

Villa Templeberg is located in Galle which is located within 3km of Galle Fort, 5km to Jungle Beach and 8 km to Unawatuna.  The Villa and freestanding 2 bedroom bungalows are perched on a hilltop next to the very famous Kuduruduwa Temple, offering an added bonus to your trip Itinerary.  We promise you that you will feel like Royalty, staying at the Villa because Brent and Christopher have created a sanctuary filled with heavenly food, exquisite decor and a pool you will never want to leave.

Each room at Templeberg offers you a private sanctuary with endless views of  the lush landscaping surrounding the property.  My partner and I cannot wait to visit this September for my birthday on the 30th.

The room decor is simple, accommodating, romantic and feels like you are in  your own little world far away from work, social media or rush hour traffic. The Villa offers resort style living and specializes in personal hospitality.

That is another reason why we love Templeberg so much, some of you need your privacy and you will receive that throughout your stay.  There is no place like Villa Templeberg!  You will never want to leave the Villa, but you must so you can explore what Sri Lanka has to offer.

Templeberg History:  The Villa history dates back to 1864 when the property was first established as a working coconut plantation.  There are coconut trees on the property now that are more than 100 years old. When it comes down to the lovely style of the Villa that dates back to it’s Portuguese, Dutch, and English colony history of South Africa, Sri LaTempleberg-Low-Res-54nka, Guyana, Indonesia, and India.  The Villa is one of only three remaining original properties in the Kuduruduwa district.  Templeberg was originally built as a colonial Manor home for a Singhalese family, the Villa was acquired by a German expatriate family in the 1960s which owned the Villa for the most part for many years and kept the Villa as their second home. In 2013, New Zealanders Brent and Christopher with Chris’ Swedish Mother Karin and opened as a private residence welcoming guests to rent by the room or by the entire villa.

Templeberg is located in a prime locations which allow you to form your own adventures, like day trips to nearby vegetable and fruit stalls, walk along laneways and visits downtown to explore the history of Sri Lanka,  Mirissa Whale Watching Tour  or a must see is the Yala Safari .
